They used to do a newsletter, if I recall. Our local Air Force safety office would forward it on. No pictures at that time, but each issue contained a trenchant and entertaining description of human stupidity.

My earliest years were spent in southern Colorado, where several varieties of cactus flourish. My cow pony knew the safe paths through the brush, and would weave his way through without input from me. Even at a gallop when pursuing a wayward cow, I let him do the navigating. Perhaps the ATV rider shown on the website needed a better navigator.

Book, the Naval Safety Center during the day was one of the better organizations in government. They began as an Aviation Safety Center, but have obviously branched out. I hope they are not becoming too "Nannyish".

The Safety Center published a truly great Aviation Safety magazine, entitled "Approach". Naval Aviators always looked forward to its issuance. There was another fine magazine entitled "Naval Aviation News". I don't know if the Safety Center published it, but it contained a cartoon character who commented on Safety, by the name of "Grand-paw Pettibone". If he saw those photos you posted, he would exclaim in trademark fashion: "Jumping Jehosophats". Memories.
