This day has been way too long

Do you ever just want to run away from your family obligations? I do. Between my mom and my children, I’m being pulled in a few too many directions today. Fortunately, my Mom is feeling better (no worries, nothing really wrong, just a moment of self-induced drama), and the children and their friends will eventually go to bed. I will then dig out the chocolate, grab the dog, and hunker down with a junk novel. All should be well by the morrow.

Book, tis not easy to be sandwiched in between two generations. I don’t know if you are an only child, but you are a daughter and that means, you are the one – period.
How nice that you can find solace in the accessible things around you and that day eventually becomes night.
