Even some of Norway’s ruling class choked when it came to awarding the Nobel to Obama.

One of my liberal friends recently asked me what I thought about Obama receiving the Nobel.
I told him I didn’t really think about it at all.
He was incredulous and asked me why.
I told him that the Nobels to me are like the Academy Awards—highly politicized and having little to do with real merit or achievement. If I don’t follow the Academy Awards, why would I follow the Nobel prizes?
He didn’t argue.
