I’m always in favor of a purge, Book, on general principles. I think this is known. But the specifics of the purge, now that is not yet set in stone.

Ah, I see your mistake. Hoffman started and owns several successful small businesses. Thus his wealth is evil. Most of the others you list (I’m not familiar with all of them) got theirs the blessed way by milking the public teat or from their evil capitalist ancestors.

Wealthy liberals have money that is sanctified by good intentions and right opinions.

Translation: they extorted the money from rich taxpayers and corporations, which is legit and proper.

When the Left brought up charges about Bush’s NG record, we should have immediately personalized it by attacking the Democrat party’s pillars of support, which included Ted Kennedy’s Big Daddy mandated tour in Europe.

Legitimacy is at the root of election politics. It never pays to allow the opposition free reign in de-legitimatizing our leaders but we refuse to pay them back in kind. Like the Palestinians, declaring a cease fire just means your side will be surprised at the next attack that kills children.

If this was a war between honorable opponents, certain things could be worked out. But it isn’t.
