You are also raising some beautiful, well-adjusted children and future productive citizens, Book. That’s more important than any of the Schlicter accomplishments that you cited, as much as they are to be admired. He probably would agree.

I had a neighbor. Three children under the age of six. Studied for the bar over the course of the summer (she did have a babysitter for the afternoons) passed with high scores. Got a job clerking for a local circuit judge, taking over from two full-time clerks. Did what they did, but in 3/4 of the time.

And her house was always clean.

Just thinking about her makes me exhausted.
