Just Because — I’m Yours by Jason Mraz

The lyrics are incoherent, but I still like the song’s feel:

Incomprehensible?  Perhaps I misunderstand, but this song is far easier to understand than most songs these days, at least for me.

I’m not much of a fan of newer music. Mr. Mraz has a good talent and has written a “cute” tune that made me feel better after listening. good on him!

After a quick unsuccessful search, I still wonder if he is the son of George Mraz, just a bit older than me, a wonderful jazz bassist. George used to play from time to time at our club back in New Jersey. (I frequently long for those days, but doubt the lifestyle would be compatible with our current family life.)

CollegeCon:  I understand the actual words.  They just don’t make sense to me, especially the bit at the end about a God-forsaken right to whatever it is.  I know the word “God-forsaken,” but I’ve never seen it used that way.   As Inigo Montoya says in The Princess Bride, “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”
