You can add 'manipulator' to the list of adjectives. Do I believe this visit to Walter Reed was preplanned - yep, but only when he was running for the job.
WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama spent nearly two hours visiting wounded U.S. soldiers Friday afternoon.
The president met with 19 soldiers being treated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, as well as the families of three soldiers in intensive care, and hospital staff. He also awarded two Purple Hearts.
The president's visit came a day after an Army psychiatrist who once trained at Walter Reed hospital allegedly killed 13 people at Fort Hood. The White House says the hospital visit was planned before the shootings.
Friday's visit was Obama's first to Walter Reed since taking office, though he visited as a presidential candidate.

I doubt it is duplicity, 11B40. I think it's control. He exercises formidible self control, and he is an expert mimic. He can mimic any outward demeanor he deems acceptable for the circumstances. There is simply little if any substance beneath the mimicry.

Greetings:
What struck me in viewing the video was the speed and ease with which President Obama's demeanor changed from enjoying his initial repartee to addressing the Fort Hood incident. In my opinion, that revealed the depths of his duplicitousness and how practiced he is at it.

Joe Medicine Crow was indeed a Medal of Freedom winner rather than a Medal of Honor winner, but he did serve in WWII, and it was in this war that he completed the four tasks required to become a Crow war chief. (One of them being stealing enemy horses--which, remarkably, he did.)

A better man that Obama would have been able to link the WWII service of Medicine Crow and other American Indians with the Fort Hood atrocity in a manner which was graceful rather than clownish.

Book, I agree with everything you said. But, I think you missed the salient point of the article--as I did at first.
The writer makes it clear that he does not blame Obama for this lapse. Rather it is the fault of his advisors who let him down so completely. Oh shame! Oh woe! Poor Obama doesn't have anyone he can depend on to keep him from making an ass of himself.

Kind of puts that photo op ceremony in a different light, doesn't it? Some said afterwards ... "you mean you think he doesn't have respect for the military?" I think we have an answer - just in case you didn't have one before...

One lies and the other swears to it.
My mother used to say, "consider the source". It's time the media did the same or at least fact check the source. Yes, I know they don't, won't, can't - to do so would suspend their reality.

Because there’s no real difference between a politically appointed award and something earned by deeds.

No difference to Obama, that is. And no difference to the Left, either.

Sadie, we all know that Obama would never honor a Medal of Honor recipient. But the rest of the nation is under the delusion that he is a good seeking man, this Obama of theirs. So they will be fooled. As it was intended when they wrote the article, you see.

Deception is more powerful than nukes because nukes requires accountability. Deception can be used to kill many, but you'll never know who to blame. That is one of the numerous powers of the Left, one they learned by serving the darkest desires of the human heart.

Obama said 'Medal of Honor". Because there's no real difference between a politically appointed award and something earned by deeds. And NBC reports it without correction, because they are collaborators in clouding the issue. They are now owned, not by corporations, but by the government. Given the alliance between government and corporations, now. That is the intention of the Left, originally and always. "Big Business" was only a big bogey man to scare people into giving government more power over it. And once that power was given, the subsidiary media propaganda arms would ensure that their employers are kept in power.
