As always, it was a good week at the Watcher’s Council. Indeed, I’d say it was a better week than usual, because we’ve traveled back to our roots and made an effort to nominate blog posts, rather than syndicated articles, in the non-Council category. It made for much more varied reading. Anyway, here are this week’s winners.
Oh, before I get to that list, a couple of important announcements:
We currently have a seat open for a qualified blogger on the Council up for grabs. If you’re interested, you may apply here . . . or e-mail me at rmill2k@msn.com for details.
And remember, If you want to see your blog piece listed on the Watcher’s Council page my generous offer of link whorage remains open.
Simply make a post linking to this week’s Council winners and send me an e-mail with the subject line ‘link whorage’ at rmill2k@msn.com. Include a link to the post and a link to the piece you want to appear, and the resulting fame, glory and increased traffic are yours for the taking.

The Joshuapundit winning article had this fantastic paragraph:
When I first found out about Major Malik Nadal Hasan gunning down his fellow soldiers at Fort Hood while shouting “Allahu Akbar” on November 5th, I immediately recognized this as the jihad attack it was and wrote that that when the dots were connected, there would be a Saudi funded mosque and a radical imam in the picture. There always is.
Charles Martel made a comment in another thread about how he’s given up on the moderate Muslims. I agree, but for me, it is because they are most like the rest of humanity: Their religion is important to them; but really they’re just living their day to day lives, and don’t want to be bothered; but unfortunately they are easily persuadable by those around them. To wit, they will follow.
And what they will follow, right now, is the Saudi-funded radical, jihadist takeover of American mosques. That is the key that unlocked Hassan into his murderous spree. This was a jihadist attack, pure and simple. Totally driven by fundamentalist Islamic motivations. And the Saudis are driving it all with their Wahhabist infiltrations and takeovers of the religious tenor of all Islamic communities in America.
Until we come to grips with that fact, and TAKE DOWN WAHHABISM within the boundaries of our country, and kick the Saudis in the b@lls right where they deserve to be kicked, it will only get worse. We must repudiate and spurn this movement in every way possible. Everywhere we encounter it, we must express our disapproval in every way possible. We must provide support for the non-Wahhabists, and right now, to our eternal shame, we are providing them zero support, making it very easy for the massively-Saudi-funded Wahhabists to take over Muslim community after Muslim community.
