If you recall, it was both a physically and emotionally gut wrenching experience for the settlers and the soldiers. Not only did they have to move and relocate, they all had to dig up and rebury the dead elsewhere. Some soldiers are religious, others not and probably most somewhere in between, but they like the settlers are Israelis. A high price was paid before, during and after. Some have friends or served with soldiers in these areas. All in all not a good situation.
