Internecine struggles amongst the anarchists *UPDATED*

An anarchist who believes in militant action was deeply offended when that action landed on her own doorstep (emphasis mine):

An ex-vegan who was hit with chili pepper-laced pies at an anarchist event in San Francisco said Tuesday that her assailants were cowards who should direct their herbivorous rage at the powerful – not at a fellow radical for writing a book denouncing animal-free diets.

Lierre Keith, a 45-year-old Arcata resident, was attacked at 2:15 p.m. Saturday at the 15th annual Bay Area Anarchist Book Fair while discussing her 2009 book, “The Vegetarian Myth.” A 20-year vegan, Keith now argues that the diet is unhealthy and that agriculture is destroying the world.

As Keith stood at a lectern at the Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park, three people in masks and black hooded sweatshirts ran from backstage, shouted, “Go vegan!” and threw pies in her face. While they fled, some in the audience cheered or handed out leaflets.

[snip]

Keith said her values are similar in most ways to those of her attackers. She believes in militant action, even property destruction, if it can lead to change. In her book, she said, she railed against factory farming and promoted the restoration of prairies and forests.

[snip]

Among those rejoicing in the pie attack was the North American Animal Liberation Press Office, which often prints communiques from activists taking credit for attacks on animal researchers.

The group said Keith was wrong about veganism, referred to her as an “animal holocaust denier,” and scolded her for calling the “agents of state oppression” – the police.

[snip]

Keith said the attack appeared to have been planned on Internet sites dedicated to veganism. She called it a case of infighting that harmed activist causes.

“If this is what is considered radical action,” she said, “this movement is dead.”

I read the first paragraph of the newspaper account above to my yellow dog Democrat wife and even she rolled her eyes at the Byzantine nature of demento politics.

As others have pointed out, the reality-defying nature of leftist ideas inevitably produces a backlash bitch slap from the laws of nature, morality and economics. But while I am guiltily amused watching our modern version of Bedlam’s populace put on a show for the rest of us, the clean-up costs are enormous.

The inevitable result of competing anarchists.

She believes in militant action, even property destruction, if it can lead to change.

Does that include the change in her expression.

They advance the progress of entropy, decaying and destroying everything to wave the way for the new. As they define it. And as they determine what is or is not worthy of being reintroduced.

As gods, they are neither that hard to kill nor all that omnipotent. But destruction never did require god power. Even if they destroyed only one life per election cycle, it would take us twice as long to replace that life when we win the next election cycle.

Elections no longer determine power in a non-democratic system. It doesn’t determine power in a democratic system either, of course. It was an illusion that America was based upon democracy or voting. We were not. We neither had full franchise nor anything close to it. America was built upon the rule of virtue. Unstated, unofficial, but nevertheless born in sweat, toil, tears, and blood. Defined as much by the US Civil War as it was by Washington, a man of virtue, Jefferson, or the Constitution.

An illusion the Left exploited well. But what can you expect out of re-educated robots.

The first rule, if it can be said to be a rule, I learned in Target Focus Training was that he who decides to use violence should expect violence to be used on them.

Don’t expect to shoot people in the head and be surprised you get your brains blown out. I despise these cowards. Which is also why their personal defenses against killers aren’t so hot.

I wanted to ask you, Book, if you knew of the prosecutor and/or judge in question on this case.

This country is slowly turning into the home of slaves, land of the cowards. Lawyers, even, are a symptom, not even the disease. Whether that’s more or less insulting to the lawyerly profession, I wouldn’t know.

Btw, I think Obama’s nanny state comrades love checking people’s mail using illegal search and seizure methods. Their complaint against the Patriot Act was purportedly that it violated our civil liberties. What a crock sniff. Only mental slaves should believe that.

The real reason was that they were annoyed that the powers of the Patriot Act couldn’t be misused and abused by the rightful rulers of America: themselves, period.

The fact that people elected Obama is proof enough of their gullibility and incompetence.

This doesn’t just affect those of the Left. It affects social conservatives as well. The more the Left advances with aggression and pre-emptive strikes, the more conservatives, Christians, and Republicans feel a need to react with more crippling laws to ‘suppress crime’. Crime, ostensibly, created by the Left themselves in order to assault civic awareness, conscious, and liberty. The more they push abortion, the more conservatives push for crippling laws monitoring and adjusting private lives as a form of defense.

That’s not a defense. You’re playing right into the minefield of the Left. Increasing state power to oversee ‘social issues’ is not going to be controlled by the hands of conservatives for very long given the nature of government.

Y (#6):  No, I don’t know anything about the case, Y, or about the players.
