This is basically intelligence analysis, not the simple reproduction of ‘facts’. We don’t recognize the government’s proto-reality, thus their facts are not our facts. And the facts of Obama’s supporters are not our facts. If you don’t like that objective reality, take it up with progressive dissidents and power to the people, speak truth to power, agent provocateurs.

In intelligence analysis, two analysts can look at the same piece of data or video footage and come up with two different, perhaps mutually exclusive, conclusions. This is why it is important to undergo independent analysis. Between purely linear logical analysts and parallel intuitive analysts, through comparison of independent conclusions from those two sources one can arrive at a more accurate final conclusion. But this isn’t what is going on in America.

What is going on in America is that allied analysts are seeking to penetrate the enemy government’s counter-intelligence measures. This isn’t some buddy buddy prototypical “America” of Father Knows Best where we are all “working together” in harmony or some such fantasy. This is the America of Obama Knows Best. And for those of us that wishes no part of that, we have become enemy intelligence analysts seeking to penetrate the obfuscation created and crafted by the government agencies specifically to hoodwink external intelligence agencies.

That makes anything from pro-Obama or semi-sympathetic agencies the same as if somebody came to the US and told us what was what. We may or may not believe them, but our first duty is to conduct an independent analysis using our own sources, not just material provided to us by external agencies. The inability to make that independent analysis is why Bush used WMDs at the UN for so many months that the public got convinced the war was about WMDs. If he had invaded Iraq in 2002, not 2003, there wouldn’t have been time for people to deceive themselves. Bush would have had independent confirmation with his own sources and then he could have crafted whatever justifications the evidence on the ground justified.

This isn’t about facts. This is about the biased personal problems of people’s perspectives. It isn’t a fact. It is only an interpretation that hard lining a cash limit on people doesn’t count as ‘rationing’.

That politifact.com analysis is chock-full of benevolent assumptions about the power and uses of government bureaucracies and agencies. When I read their point-by-point refutation of the analysis that Sadie provided, I see agencies being given broad discretionary intrusive powers, and they WILL intrude, in every way they can, to yearly justify their existence: their ever-increasing budgets, ever-increasing size, and ever-increasing power.

While many items in the post from Sadie may be overblown, almost everything in the politifact refutation is severely understated. As to politifact’s boundless joy that they could refute the illegal alien claim, it took great effort to remove their automatic inclusion from the bill, and THAT remains a sore sticking point among many who want them included and will, under Obama, get them included, sooner rather than later.

(BTW: Using the Slaughter Rule successfully once will be like a crack whore’s first introduction to the drug – the slide downhill into its repeated use will be irresistible and horrifying – to include its use in many follow-on health care add-on laws. Watching the Democrat Congress – for as long as it remains Democrat – will be like rubbernecking down the highway at horrifying accident after accident, for those people who do that sort of thing. It will be quite the spectacle, in the dictionary sense of that word.)
