I&#039;ve seen the following quote from Charles Babbage: &quot;On two occasions I have been asked by members of Parliament, &#039;Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?&#039; I am not able rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.&quot;

I infer from this (and other examples) that breathtaking stupidity among our species in general, and Parliament in particular, is nothing new, and yet our dimwitted and incoherent stampede through history continues by God&#039;s grace.  Lord Jenny is far from the first nitwit to hold power, and far from the last, but somehow, we&#039;re all still here.

So cheer up, everyone!  ;)]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I had an interesting conversation with my (very liberal but otherwise great guy) priest yesterday evening.
The topic a comment recently made to me by a person that had worked in Africa building orphanages. This person had explained to me that, where she worked in Africa, there was a huge, clearly defined gulf between righteousness and religious fervor on one side and evil and demonology on the other. In America and the West, on the other hand, good and evil were identified not in black and white but by a uniform grey.
&quot;What do you think that she meant by that?&quot; I asked my priest, who had also done work in Africa.
&quot;Because, &quot; he replied, &quot;in the West, we have lost the ability to name evil for what it is. So it runs rampant.&quot;
I can&#039;t come up with a better explanation for the topic of Book&#039;s post.]]></description>

And without apples, there&#039;d be no worms without which there&#039;d be no Diet of Worms, thus no Protestants, so on and so forth. It&#039;s all really very simple.]]></description>

By any standard of rationality, a culture like the Palestinians&#039;, in which they indoctrinate their children to murder EVERYONE of another faith, would receive no support from those who claim to be for human rights.  The article explains why they DO receive all of that truly astonishing, and literally mindless, support from the left.
 
The article is about a phenomenon called &quot;Underdogma&quot;, a word I like for describing this.
