Oh WOW!!
My parents had several LPs of Burl Ives while I was growing up….and a song I still sing to my grandchildren (after singing it to my [now-] wife on the Choir Tour bus) is “He Was Only a Lavender Cowboy” from one of those records.
Thanks for the nostalgic trip down memory lane – I haven’t heard that voice in 40 years, I bet!!
