Yes, he is, Book.
But beyond the humor lurks a great horror: NYT readers and writers are too grumpy, too sourpussed and too reactionary to ever get Iowahawk’s putdowns.
In the great tradition of Mark Twain comes Iowahawk. Move over and make room on the podium, Mr. Clemens.
They’d have to think first, Martel. There’s a premium price on thinking these days. They’re waiting for the government to give them their check so that they can pay for their thinking.
The next to last one reminds me of something Robert Heinlein said about prostitution: She should be judged on the same basis as any other businessperson. Does she give a fair service for the money exchanged? In this sense, I would say that your average streetwalker is more honest than your average journalist and infinitely more honest than your average New York Times columnist.
