Picture of the day

In Germany, images of Hitler are (or, at least, were) very tightly controlled, lest that profoundly evil man give offense to some or inspire others.  It turns out that, in America, some think we have a political leader whose image needs to be hidden too.

Was not Washington an abolisionist?  As such he set the framwe work for their freedom?

I am about to make a T-shirt “Diversity Divides” on the front and on the back: “In Christ there is neither Jew nor Gentile, male not female, slave nor free; we are one in Christ”

A less than subtle attempt to bury history.

Why are people so scared of Hitler. If they don’t want him around, they can hang em, just like we and the Iraqis did with Saddam.

Idols have no power when we can kill the true source.

Why do people consciously give power to the Nazis and Hitler by acting scared around them?

This is disgusting on several levels.
I believe the worst aspect is that someone in the SC government had to approve that modification to the state capitol.
Pandering has become a national characteristic.

This is so sad – The true tragedy is that George Washington (and our other founding fathers) sacrificed so much so that those who followed after them could enjoy the freedoms they won from the British.  Without Washington, there could have never been a Martin Luther King.  He was a great leader and common respect requires that we do not do anything like ‘boxing’ him in.  We should not ‘box’ anyone in; that is the true message of MLK.  We should respect everyone.  Ironic that on the day that we are honoring a man who dreamed of the day when we would all be equals, we treat George Washington like a piece of furniture.
