Mark Steyn on Obama’s war

The whole thing is good (of course), but I enjoyed this bit especially:

“That’s why building this international coalition has been so important,” [Obama] said the other day. “It is our military that is being volunteered by others to carry out missions that are important not only to us, but are important internationally.”

That’s great news. Who doesn’t enjoy volunteering other people?

The Arab League, for reasons best known to itself, decided that Col. Gadhafi had outlived his sell-by date. Granted that the region’s squalid polities haven’t had a decent military commander since King Hussein fired Gen. John Glubb half a century back, how difficult could it be even for Arab armies to knock off a psychotic transvestite guarded by Austin Powers fembots?

But no: Instead, the Arab League decided to volunteer the U.S. military.

    For what it is worth,
I remember during the Obama campaign all those videos in which children sang songs about how voting for Obama was voting for peace.
I wonder how those children and the adult who coaxed (brainwashed) them feel today now that Obama has added 30,000 troops to an ongoing war and that he has started a new war for reasons that even his fervent supporters -the main stream media- aren’t clear about?
If I was a liberal I would feel betrayed and humiliated for having believed in Obama .
If I was one of those kids in the videos I would feel used and dirty.

    ” . . . a psychotic transvestite guarded by Austin Powers fembots?”

Sounds like something from The Onion; but it is true and funny as all get out.

But, I believe that this will be “straw that broke the camel’s back” as most Americans (except for the very left) will not like it one bit if American military are fighting and dying under a foreign command.

That’s why the LEft decided to only use cruise missiles and not even risk American pilots from being shot or captured.

That’s the best we can expect, out of the domestic enemy of the US, called the Obama administration.
