The recall effort is the key.

The Democrats are organized and wildly rabid and ready.  The Republicans are lah-ti-dahing it so far, and they are going to get their clocks completely cleaned.  Disaster, unless they meet passion with passion, unless they develop a righteous anger, total indignation, and steely eyed resolve to simply whip the Democrats ass from here to Topeka and leave them screaming running away in the night.  The Democrats are so fired up they are sending death threats to anyone whose LAST NAME starts with an R.

The first “recall” effort is the election on the Court this week, which if it goes Democrat, would flip the court 4-3.
Then there are all the other recalls slated for later this year.  Republicans better get their game on.  The Democrats are already knifing and gunning and taking control of the frontier town.

Cops and firemen aligning with unions is going to backfire badly. Most people understand that policemen are more lawn ornaments than useful public servants. Ask residents in Los Angeles, Detroit, Philadelphia, Newark, St. Louis or Oakland how well protected they feel by their unionized cops.

Firemen are a different matter, especially after 9/11. But you can’t get around the fact that unionized cops and firemen are riding one hell of a gravy train. If the GOP pushes back against the union fat cats who are organizing these demonstrations, showing how cops and firemen in many instances are trying to manipulate our natural high regard for them, this cynical push by the unions will flop bigtime.

Public servants are servants—they should be forbidden to unionize. Don’t like it? Then don’t apply for the job. And once you get the job, don’t tell us how brave you are for doing what the hell you got hired for. Man up.
