He looks kinda like Reagan or a cowboy.

Btw, Book, I’ve heard some questions people asked about being the only gurrrll in a BJJ class and they were wondering how people, males or females, dealt with the uncomfortable “sexual” positions in BJJ when they had just started class and were “rolling” with strangers?

You got anything you want to share on this matter?

Dang, that’s a great ad! I can see why Axelrod has been trying to hit him hard (and failing). Obama can’t run against Bush when he’s got Perry touting his record of accomplishment during the same 2 1/2 year period.
And thinking of Ymarsakar’s pithy definition of a narcissist in an earlier thread, Perry is clearly an Alpha male. This presidential election just got a lot more interesting.

These days, Sarah Palin is an Alpha male. Given what else we got in DC.

Well hot damn!  Perhaps someone to quit bickering with the others and take the fight to the man who needs to find a new job.  Win, lose, or draw I am excited to have a bit of excitement enter the race.

I didn’t think my comment was all that spectacular, but I’m glad others, like Book and Libby, found it sparkling.

Has my vote.  Hope he wins. I hope Perry proves Jacksonian and digs in in DC and fights like a hellion.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynKoZD-sFi4

My husband has an interesting question:
Actually, Bush related, in a way.  You remember that Bush had “worked with a mixed legislature” and hoped to achieve a “new tone” in DC since he had done it in Texas.  And we know how well he succeeded.  Perry has the same situation – but my husband pointed out that the Texas legislature only meets 3 months out of the year.  How will Perry do with the 365 day legislature of DC?  It is _definitely_ a different ball of wax.

I have a couple of other questions…  Given that Bachman won the straw poll, in the event that she’s nominated….can you see _any_ of the men running accepting the position of VP?  Let’s just say, for example, that Bachman is nominated, and Perry accepts the position of VP…how do you think the press would report on stuff?  Or even Sarah in the Pres position?  Am I over thinking this?

The other thing is about the various legislatures in various states.  I’m thinking that maybe the States have legislatures with Democrats and Republicans, and the Congress (and a few states like California) have Ideologues.  Bush could deal with a mixed legislature because they actually wanted what was best for Texas.  In DC, there’s a battle for control of the nation.  Different odds.  Different goals.

Well, to the extent you could even know this about anyone prior to them actually being in the position, I’m betting Perry would still be way better than President “Sorry I’m Late” Obama.

Loser Liberals should flock to Perry’s banner once they learn he passed a “loser pays” law and they admittedly want to pay more.

  • http://ymarsakar.wordpress.com Ymarsakar

    why would they want that.

  • Mike Devx

Indigo Red, the “loser pays” law was a large part of tort reform here in Texas.  Nothing is perfect, it’s true, so “loser pays” does have potential drawbacks.  But if you truly do want to get rid of frivolous lawsuits, in my opinion this has worked WONDERS.  It may not be perfect, but hot holy damn, “loser pays” is very, very GOOD.

     Am I over thinking this?

suek, no you’re not. I think the press will be as cruel and dismissive as they’ve been with Palin. During the debate this past week, FOX was taken to task for asking Bachmann about her statements about herself being a “submissive” wife. She had the opportunity to define it for public consumption. The audience booed and hissed, but I believe the purpose of the question was to put it “out there” before the MSM started to use it as sword.
En garde … the fight has just begun.
