Achmed the Dead Terrorist comes to the UN

Are you familiar with Achmed the Dead Terrorist?  Jeff Dunham, a ventriloquist, came up with a skeleton-shaped dummy named Achmed.  Achmed is a self-identified terrorist, with the catch-phrase “I kill you.”  Here, see for yourself:

Now that you’ve familiarized yourself with Achmed, read this bit of wisdom from the Palestinian representative to the UN:

“The UN is the only alternative to violence,” Shaath said during a press conference on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.”It will be very costly to us and the Israelis. Our new heroes are Gandhi, Mandela and Martin Luther King.”

Could Dunham come up with better comedy than that?  “If you don’t give us what we want, ‘We kill you.’  And, by the way, we get the inspiration for our ‘do as we say or die’ negotiation tactic from those famous pacifists, Gandhi, Mandela and Martin Luther King.”

Is there any sanity left in a world that thinks these violent, duplicitous people are ready for their own state?

I used to think the Palestinians might have had a right to their own state, back when they were still seeming to negotiate with Israel. Back before 9/11. Then it became clear that Arafat was their worst enemy and not representing in good faith for the best interests of the Palestinians. Since then I’ve seen how the Palestinians “negotiate” (and lob missiles and plant bombs in the midst of Israel’s civilians). I’ve seen how their children are groomed to be martyrs. How they brag that life is cheap and death is glorious. Sometimes it’s hard to imagine there are any normal, sane, people or families left among them.
I’ve seen how the world condemns Israel’s right to defend itself and its own borders. I’ve also seen how Israel traded land for peace, and what happened.
Now I think the Palestinians should have their own state–somewhere in the middle of Saudia Arabia or Jordan. Let the Palestinians migrate to their new “homeland” the way Jewish refugees have picked up and migrated from all over the world to theirs. If states and boundaries are so mutable, let their Arab brothers put their money where their mouths are and shoulder some responsibilities for taking care of fellow Muslims, as their Koran teaches them. And let the Palestinians take their cue from the realization of millions of innocent ethnic German civilians uprooted from their generational homes in Eastern Europe after World War II–and millions of other war refugees all over the globe who move on and live in the present day, looking to the future so their children will have a better life.
I know some Palestinians in the U.S. who have done this. How come nobody’s saying this to the Palestinians?

Victor Davis Hanson has a new article out today: “Can Israel Survive”?

It is quite pessimistic about the prospect of a new war against Israel, far more vicious than any we’ve seen yet.  He sees a new war as inevitable and looming.  It is not like him to be so explicit and clear when discussing dire possibilities; when Hanson says it is inevitable and is merely unsure of the exact day when it will start, perhaps it is time to panic.

And yes, when the war does start and we are looking for Americans that helped cause it to start, there will be only person in our country to point the finger at: Barack Obama.

Barack Obama. Guilty. Worse than Jimmy Carter.

Barack Obama. Anti-Semite. Hater of Jews.  Hater of Israel.

I wish I could be surprised by this logic, but these are people who encourage their young men and women to strap bomb onto themselves in order to kill Jews, aim rockets at Kindergartners, launch attacks from mosques, justify slitting the throats of a sleeping family (including a baby), cheered the 9/11 attacks, etc. Something has gone terribly wrong and they’ve lost their collective minds and humanity.

The Palestinians are not masters of their own fate. They simply do as they are told. Thus it is pointless to tell them much of anything. It’s not like that will change their behavior. Their behavior is not in their power to change: they lack the will.

  • Ymarsakar

It is not so much that something has gone terribly wrong, as humans are weak and too lacking in spine to do what was needed to be done about this eternal thorn in the side of human progress called Palestine. If they would have done the correct thing and fixed the infection early on, it wouldn’t have turned out so badly.

If you guys want to see another Achmed piece, click on this.

Be warned, this isn’t safe for work, children, adults with upset stomachs, or anyone who can’t stand the sight of someone’s brains leaking out. Just so you know.

I haven’t spent a lot of time in Israel, but I’ve been there a few times flying with the Israeli Air Force. Time mostly spent in crappy IAF fields in the middle of nowhere.
I pity the fool who thinks he can take on this air force. They are very good, perhaps our equal in air/air, but way behind in air/mud. No strat rf capability so any attack against Iran will need the USAF.
Any Pali uprising will be orchestrated from the usual suspects (Syria, Iran, Jordan, Turkey) so the IAF will attack them all. That’s what MAD means in the mid east. It means we will nuke your shit if you touch us.
I’ve never met a Pali who was worth a shit, but I’ve met a lot of Israelis I’d be proud to fight alongside.
Not a racist comment, just an observation formed from 24 yrs of military experience.
Side note from my last Afghan tour: Estonians and Latvians= crazy people you want to be your friends.

  • Ymarsakar

The only qualification to be racist here is if you say America is a good nation.

I’m stone cold serious about the Estonian’s and Latvian’s.
Talk to anyone who’s been deployed to A-stan and they will verify.
They ARE the current iteration of viking warriors and that is their battle doctrine.
Seeing them riding outside the wire on a motorcycle is a sight to behold. I think the Afghan are just so stunned at the sight of 6′ 5″ plus blond vikings that they just behave.
I speak fluent Russian, so I often got detailed to ‘liason’ with the ‘Baltics’.
I just got back, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to process the insanity.

If America had adopted the Roman Marius Reforms which utilized auxiliary troops and citizenship awards after 20 years of service, America would be able to expand to cover much of the globe utilizing such troops.

Two cruise missiles would take a lot of air out of Islamist sails:

—One to take out the Kaaba in Mecca. Zut alors, how could Allah let this happen??

—One straight down the 12th Imam’s little hidey-hole in Qom.
