When parody sounds real — Tom Elia’s “When Lobsters Take Flight”

I mentioned yesterday that we live in such strange times that it’s often difficult to distinguish fake news from real.  It occurred to me that, by making this statement, I missed the opportunity to alert you to a book full of fake news — very funny, sometimes prescient fake news.

Tom Elia, who blogs at The New Editor, has written an ebook called When Lobsters Take Flight: A skeptic parodies politicians, ‘progressives,’ potentates, and the press reporting on them all.  At $2.99, it costs less than a cup of Starbuck’s coffee.  Like that delightful Starbuck’s cup, it will boost your spirits.  It will also do something even Starbuck’s can’t do:  give you a fresh take on the lunacy outside your front door.
