Obama, apparently, can’t light his team’s fire

If the Weekly Standard hadn’t been checking David Axelrod’s tweets, I never would have known that Barack Obama dropped into his Chicago — Chicago! Home Town! — headquarters to, in Axelrod’s words “fire[] up the team.” He even includes a picture:

I’ll freely admit that I’m not the best in the world when it comes to reading people’s expressions, but those troops don’t look very fired up to me. The words that spring to mind are “bored,” “demoralized,” or even “trapped.” I’m thinking the team members are worried and the Great Orator’s words were not relieving their minds.
If you want to see a fired up team, check out this one:
Maybe Obama’s team should abandon ship and join Mitt’s and Ryan’s team….

Hmm..I am thinking they’re worried that he’ll hit them up for a donation. He’s got five fundraisers scheduled for Sunday.
Romney Ryan sure were fired up in North Carolina this morning. So was the crowd, 5,000 in Mooresville, NC and 10,000 in High Point, NC, today. I have heard Mitt speak in person and although articulate not always impassioned. I watch both events and Mitt was in fact impassioned. The Twitterverse that I hang out in seems to be fired up and I must admit I got a little surge too.
Yesterday out little town has what we call Old Home Days. There is a parade which all the politicians running for anything march in and of course the town’s two fire trucks, EMT van, two Police cruisers. Local business people pay to set up little booths. It is a chance for folks in town the gather and catch up. Nearly all the towns in New Hampshire do this. Anyway our Town Republican Committee set up a booth and Paul Ryan was the talk of the day. The consensus from the conservative little town in New Hampshire was Paul Ryan was a fine choice. We all agreed there maybe there were some other people but we’re all OK with Ryan. After watching the two campaign events in North Carolina this morning I get the impression we are not alone in our OKness.

Obama has five fundraisers on Sunday? How will he ever find time for more golf?

I am hoping it’s a Romney/Ryan win in November.
That’s why Obama’s re-election motto is not “Forward,” it’s “Fore! ward.”
Hammer- but which Chicago ward are you referring to? Or just the generic ward heeler?
Charles and Gringo – both of you, put on your “punce” caps and go sit in the corner of the room.
