About Obama’s promise to go Forward

Two posts riffing on Obama’s “Forward” slogan.
The first notes that, to the extent his party is articulating a platform, it’s more backward than forward and, worse, it’s backward to the Soviet era (or maybe to Mao’s Great Leap Forward).
The second points out that only a moron keeps going forward when there’s a gaping chasm in front of him (although that concept gets more elegant phrasing at this link).
