    All the bad economic news seems to come at me from every direction.  It’s very depressing.

    Then I read that about 45-46% of Americans plan to vote for Barack Obama.  And that’s even more depressing.  What are these people thinking?  What does their hideous judgment mean for the future of our formerly great country?

    Do they like the way he looks in a swimsuit?  Perhaps they are impressed by the inflection and tone in his voice during his speeches?  Perhaps they like his golf game, which he practices to obscene excess?

    Or maybe they’re just among that approximately 50% who are getting more in government benefits than they pay out.  Despite the ever-darkening economic news for us all, they are determined to hang onto their redistributive gains.  Saying, “Screw you all, buddy, I’m gettin’ mine.”

    MikeD – don’t be depressed. I believe that many people who tell pollster that they plan to vote for Obama either will not do so or won’t bother to show up at the polls.

    I suspect that we are getting to a tipping point where it becomes fashionably OK to say one is not voting for Obama this time around. The herd just hasn’t gotten its instructions from the political fashion police, yet.

    MikeD, they’re they very same +/- 45-46% who ”get” from the company store. They’re not going to fire the man who signs the checks.
