You know what worries me, Mike, this quote from Gen. Clark. You realize that even on the outside chance a) Obama wins and b) he’s impeached, Biden, the best insurance policy in the 21st century becomes, heaven forbid, the Gaffe-in-Chief, who like VP Gerald Ford issues pardons. A final thought, the handlers, stagers, manipulators, call them what you want delivered Obama to the WH – AND they will continue to operate with impunity.

Thank you for the Romney schedule, Sadie! Looks like the focus is on Iowa, Ohio, and Virginia. Some love given to other swing states. Interesting: Nothing in there for Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan. Hopefully Wisconsin isn’t being ignored, and others are picking up the slack there.

One thing in there worries me: The focus on Virginia. If things were going as well as I WISH they were going, Virginia would already be pretty much in the bag. Yet, it isn’t.

And the polls have not been showing the *shift* – even a minor one – toward Romney that I’d been expecting. I don’t trust the numbers themselves at all, but I do trust detected shifts. Whether you trust the actual numbers or not, the polls do detect *movement*. It looks like the race has practically frozen in place for the last week or two weeks, and I didn’t expect that.

Romney: “He asked his supporters to vote for revenge — for revenge. Instead I ask the American people to vote for love of country.”

If it cheers you up any, Romney drew 30,000 in West Chester, Ohio Friday night. Here’s his schedule for the next three days.

If you get a chance, find a video of Obama saying, today: “Vote! Vote! … Voting is the best revenge.”

The words alone do not do it justice. There is a darkness around him while he is speaking this that is just damned startling. He MEANS it. When he was saying these words, a bitter galling cloud seemed to surround him.

We’ve been calling this guy a narcissist for years. I truly believe Obama cannot fathom the possibility of the rejection that is almost definitely coming his way in a few days. Waking up on Wednesday, facing the rejection, his anger, bitterness, disbelief, the rage… it will be something awesome in its size, yet still utterly pathetic.

That shroud that seemed to cover him while he SEETHED out that “Voting is the best revenge” has me understanding deeply those who say that he will do anything, *anything*, so long as he does not lose. And now I have a better understanding of those men who kill their wives and girlfriends for leaving them – because ANYTHING, for that type of person, is better than losing.

The administration is an extension of “frat boy mentality” replete with hazing. Think drum major at Florida A & M and Benghazi at one end of the extreme and Anthony Weiner at the other end. In between the two extremes are variables of “pink vagina costumes, Sandra Fluke and OWS sh*t-ins.

What we have here is “elite”-college people from privileged backgrounds attempting to emulate what they think blue-collar or “hood” macho is like. It works about as well as a very amateurish cross-dressing actor trying to portray someone of the opposite sex.

It’s more than just the language that has changed, it’s the dignity of the office and the White House that have been debased. Obama is often pictured with his feet on the Resolute desk, and Michelle has held sack races and group exercises in the East Room. And then there are the many TV appearances by Barack and Michelle further reducing the presidency to mere celebrity. We see Barack slow-jamming the news on late night shows, reviewing his NCAA brackets on ESPN, and yucking it up with the Mythbusters team; Michelle is shaking her booty on iCarly and judging Food network chef competitions. I don’t want a president who is cool and conversant in the latest reality stars & Showtime production on terrorism, I want a president who is so busy fighting real terrorists that he doesn’t have time to watch TV. Being hip and pop-culturally aware takes time – time our president shouldn’t have given our current economy and the unrest in the middle east.
Also, there’s the over-sharing of personal information by Michelle – where they had their first kiss, how her husband is messy and smelly, details on why she loves her husband. Endless chummy and casual fundraising emails are sent encouraging us to celebrate each Obama family member’s birthday, Barack & Michelle’s anniversary. It’s too much, it’s too familiar.
