As for the 2nd entry, if all the best educated vote Democrat & the worst educated vote Republican, is it not also true then that the wealthy vote Democrat and the poor vote Republican?

So if this person is saying that the Dems are still the party of the poor & down-trodden and the Repubs are the party of the rich? Ask them how the less educated are getting so wealthy while the college educated are in the poor house? Or can we agree that college makes many people dumber than dirt & that’s why democrats are so fanatical about sending everyone there?

The Democrat (Progressive /Fascist /Statist) Party is what it is and, unfortunately, everything that Romney said about the “47%” is absolutely true. It is the party of the very wealthy and the very poor. I’ve noticed that it is in the blue states that you see the biggest wealth gaps between rich and poor (California, New York, Massachusetts, etc.).

With regard to your question re. abortion, MikeD, I have no problem telling people that “I understand your position and we will just have to disagree, because I cannot support killing babies”. No matter what they tell me in contradiction, it always comes back to that. Let them defend their position.

Perhaps it is time for another round of divisive abortion opinion. We all know it’s divisive, but maybe it’s time to see where we all stand.

So let me start with a statement and a question:

I think all conservatives, or at least most of agree: We want Roe v Wade overturned.

And that statement leads to my question: Why do you want Roe v Wade overturned, for what eventual result, and how would your answer relate to your philosophy concerning abortion?

I’m particular interested in your positions on why you want Roe v Wade overturned. To which of the following positions do you agree?

1. “I want Roe v Wade overturned, so that the issue of abortion can be returned to the States, and we will have the battle fought State by State.”

2. “I want Roe v Wade overturned, so that we can then enact national legislation, via Congress and signed by the President, banning abortion nationwide.”

Regarding the “best educated” states voting for Obama: in 2008 Obama overwhelmingly won the high school dropout rate. I haven’t located exit polls re education for 2012.
