People like to treat the Left like some cute furry animal, that pops out of a box, as just another weird, bizzare, or sensible "Political Notion" organized as a party. They couldn't be more wrong. They will find that out when the LEft tortures them to death. And I won't have to lift a finger for that to happen. It will happen inevitably with time.

In suffering, they will know that which they have refused to comprehend for generations.

Quick question: Absent the PTA volunteers, would the food service workers be unionized? Would they be SEIU, the same reason Michelle Obama pretends to be passionate about kids' nutrition? It's reasonable to assume that the CA DOE is motivated, like all leftist bureaucracies, by control-freak tendencies artfully blended with bureaucratic ham-handedness, but increased union revenues could just be the icing on the cake.

Perhaps you have missed the state's point. We must have egalitarian education; the fact that you rich lawyers in Marin County are willing to provide extra money for your kid's education is absolutely sinful - or would be, if we believed in things like absolute truth, right and wrong, etc. But it's bad! You are the One Percent! Down, you evil ones!
Envy - the primary virtue of American liberalism.
