Earl, the Left has not just been working to ban guns. They have also been working on banning fair elections. Even if they lose out in the gun war propaganda area, they will distract the enemy and win on another front.

I sincerely HOPE that Obama and the Dems attempt to push some genuine gun-control through Congress. I’m convinced that they have badly misjudged the American electorate, and if they really do try to restrict our Second Amendment rights in some substantial way, they will have their heads handed to them in the 2014 midterms.

Of course, a bit of window-dressing, such as an “assault-weapons ban”, is not going to make any difference at all – either substantively or electorally.

Or, so it seems to me.

That is about as succinct and cutting a description of Obama as I’ve read. It’s a pity that he would have neither the wit nor insight to understand just how close to the marrow your observation comes, Robert.

Structure precedes content, or less formally, HOW we do things is as important as WHAT we do.
I lean heavily on thinking about feedback mechanisms, to correct when out of line, and to anticipate the inevitable unanticipated consequences of liberal actions.
Reality always wins. The only real problem is that the longer it takes, the higher the cost.
