I recently read a comment somewhere that people like the “Sandy Hook shooter” should instead be referred to as the “Sandy Hook murdered.”

If you say “murderer” instead of “shooter,” you can redirect the debate to “violence” instead of “guns.”

Since Eric Holder made the connection between guns and smoking in 1995, I would like to add: “I do not know what you people are whining about. You can still smoke in the other half of the restaurant.”
