"Preserving our individual freedoms ultimately requires collective action"
Taken by itself and read literally, this is of course true: you can't fight Nazis or Communists or whatever without an armed force which is inherently a group effort.
The problem is that Obama does not understand ( or does not want to admit) that group effort can occur...that almost all of the group effort that has built our economy HAS occurred...can be organized by voluntary cooperation rather than by top-down government edict.

All you need to know in a few words:

$14 Trillion dollars.
Global economy/Global warming.
Drum roll...
Proposal that governments use public money to give guarantees, insurance and incentives to potential low-carbon investors at the same time as phasing out fossil fuel subsidies.

Mike, the words Obama used point to implementation of Sharia.
Barack Obama says: peace in our time requires the constant advance of those principles that our common creed describes: tolerance and opportunity; human dignity and justice.

Which common creed is this man citing? Where is "freedom and liberty" in his list? Where is "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"? Not that I'm against tolerance, opportunity, human dignity, and justice. I'm just not familiar with one of our "common creeds" specifying that exact list.

Could someone identify the common creed of which he speaks? Or did he pull that particular list out of a stinky orifice?

"We will support democracy from Asia to Africa; from the Americas to the Middle East, because our interests and our conscience compel us to act on behalf of those who long for freedom.
