Ace of Spades suspects that her whole response in those paragraphs was scripted, very carefully scripted. He also suspected they poll-tested various responses and chose that one.

Of course, they are all still doing everything they can to minimizeAmerican public awareness that this was, in fact, a terrorist assault. Never mind that there appear to be strong connections between this Benghazi terrorist attack and the more recent Algerian oil refinery terrorist attack. Why does the Obama Administration *need* so greatly to minimize the fact that Islamic terrorism is rampant across Africa? It's laughable. I suspect they've miscalculated, and they're shooting themselves in the foot, looking like Keystone Kops. But we'll see.

All you need to know about guns is right here. No way they can take them or make it to hard to have them. BTW, the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, the (formerly) the largest outdoor show in North America is collapsing as vendors and sponsors pull out after the exhibition company suddenly decided to ban the display and sell of the most popular rifle in America.

I guess I'll use this as an open thread. Hillary Clinton's testimony has me all riled up again about Benghazi.

In response to Senator Johnson questioning the motivation behind the assault in Benghazi, Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton had this to say: <em>"With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?"</em>

She went on to say that, oh, maybe sometime in the future, we'll sort of run across whatever reasons these people had for doing whatever it was they did that resulted in four dead Americans.

In the past, intelligent Americans, when they saw an assault by a trained group of men, carrying RPGs (rocket-propelled grenades) and using them in a coordinated attack during the assault, might have come to the conclusion that this was a coordinated, military-style assault. Since it wasn't carried out by a government, it would be considered a terrorist attack. At no point was there a protest that "got out of hand".

But our esteemed Secretary of State listed, as her two choices for "what does it matter":
- a protest
- guys out for a walk one night who decided to kill some Americans

Guys out for a walk one night? "Hey, dudes, let's go kill us some Americans. Um, we might want some RPGs, since we're OUT FOR A WALK, just, you know, sort of out here walking around. Maybe Jamaal's got some RPGs, let's go see if he does... since we're just, you know, kind of out here WALKING AROUND. Or something. I mean, like, dude."

If that's the best she can come up with, she is not qualified to be Secretary Of State. Nor Presidential candidate for 2016. And they call Sarah Palin dumb? My God! You could review all of Sarah Palin's comments and choose what you think was her worst moment, multiply it by 100, and you wouldn't reach the heights of stupidity and banality that we just saw when these words issued forth from the Hillary Clinton mouth.
