"President Obama is not merely bragging about a conflict in Libya that led to chaos not only in that country that produced the murders of four Americans including our ambassador."

Why wouldn't he brag. Are people under the impression that the goals of the Left are to somehow help the country, or do they merely believe them to produce the fruits of their own incompetence?

The goals of evil is neither determined by incompetence nor "helping" anyone. The end result is the very goal they sought, and if they are proud, it is because they got what they sought. End of story.

Hi Book,
> No quitting, guys

I'm not quitting. No how, no way. But I am taking a step back and assessing. I don't want a Sisyphean task, rolling the ball up the hill only to have it come back down on me, and repeat ad infinitum. I'm thoroughly disenchanted with the current GOP leadership, though they are making a few of the proper noises. But they've done that before and subsequently fallen flat on their face, and I'm not playing that game again. As I said in a different comment: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I am under no obligation to support losers. Especially when they may, and likely are, *bought* losers - corrupted losers - slaves to the Washington DC system, incapable of solving the problems.

I've decided the American people on the whole bought into another four years of Obama, and that's exactly what they're going to get. For better or for worse. I'm convinced it will be for the worse, and far worse than most people expect. I do not *wish* that upon any of us but I do expect it. Perhaps by the time the presidential race ramps up in the primaries, people will be far more amenable to conservative messages.

And so I think that should be the focus right now: Laying all the groundwork and setting all the correct messages. Storytelling. Populism. Even demagoguery, where appropriate. Define and market conservatism in all the ways it hasn't been done effectively. Just stating principles is no longer going to cut it; that marketing attempt has utterly failed. We do NOT abandon any of our principles, not one of them. And with any messages or marketing we put out, the principles behind them, our principles, should be clear. But the *technique* of simply stating the principles and expecting that to suffice has been shown not to work.

The Democrats already have a few tried and true storytelling and marketing techniques that worked very well in 2012 and remain potent, and they'll use them again. They'll also come up with new ones. I hope we'll be in the game by then.
