I tend not to confront the teachers. It puts my children in a very uncomfortable position, it doesn't affect what the teacher tells the other children, and I am able to teach my children in my own home. With regard to that last, my children are conservative.

Book Are you going to say anything to the school? This sort of thing happens to me with my children in LAUSD and sometimes I just let it go — and sometimes I react. I did complain the time when my daughter’s 9th grade History teacher told the class – that if Hitler were alive he would be welcomed to join in the Republican Presidential Debates (this was in 2008). The school apologized and they offered to let us change teachers. Also since Mr. Bookworm is liberal — are your kids turning out more conservative or liberal so far?

Gavin Newsom is an alumnus of my son’s high school and gave the keynote speech at his graduation in 2003. I remember thinking what a pretty boy he was and that he obviously was going to go far in Democratic politics. (This was just before he ran for mayor in San Francisco.)

His divorce from Guilfoyle was a classic modern American story of two attractive and ambitious individuals who could not reconcile their career goals. It also may be that Guilfoyle was already on to his wandering eye and that realization was a deciding factor.

As Simplemind points out, the current Missus probably entertains a welter of unsettling emotions—the knowledge that Guilfoyle outclassed her in terms of looks and smarts; hubby’s already proven inclination to stray; and the increasing temptations that will certainly come as Newsom is groomed for higher office and a level of power that will enable him to extract maximum monetary and sexual gain: With money comes almost unlimited access to whores. Just ask Bill or Hef.

Odd fact that perhaps explains such Fox hatred from the current Mrs. Gavin Newsome – she’s jealous because his first wife is prettier and more famous than she is…
Newsome’s first wife, Kimberly Guilfoyle, is a fox news personality. No kidding. They were married only a short time, and divorced in in 2005. In mid 2005 he apparently had an affair with the wife of his campaign manager -the current Mrs. Newsome has to have that in the back of her mind too. I’m sure she’s very secure.

Book, the question is…do those kids buy into that stuff or do they know they are being had. I would anticipate that, kids being kids, there would be a backlash. Good for Ms. Junior Bookworm, though.
