Obama and the deaths of famous people

Keep in mind as you look at this poster that Obama is the military’s Commander in Chief.  This means that, in theory, although clearly not in fact, Chris Kyle was one of Obama’s own:

Obama's responses to death

Incidentally, I don’t reprint this poster to denigrate Houston’s tragedy (which was drug addiction), but merely to point out that our President’s values don’t align well with traditional morality or patriotism.

He’s never acted as if he represents all Americans as president, just the ones who voted for him. So entertainers merit comment, military snipers don’t.

    Bingo!

Libby, exactly what I was going to say. Obama respects celebrities because he is one. His thinking is THAT shallow.

In 1998, there was a school shooting in Springfield, OR.  Two dead, couple dozen others wounded.  The shooter, whose name needn’t be given any more publicity, was similar to the shooter at Sandy Hook, whose name also needn’t be given any more publicity.  The massacre in the cafeteria was stopped when one brave student, Jake Ryker, who was already wounded, risked his life to tackle the shooter, and was wounded again for his efforts.  The president at the time, whose name needn’t be given any more publicity, flew out in order to stand in front of the cameras at the memorial service.  In his speech, if you think he mentioned the name “Jake Ryker” even once, you’re fooling yourself — he thanked pretty much everyone but him.  But from the news reports at the time, Jake sounded like an NRA-type, and was interested in going into the military, so it fits.  Libby nailed it: these types don’t see it as their honor and priviledge to serve all of the people, just their “tribe.”

    Greetings:

I’m a bit confused.  Did Mr. Kyle earn his unmentionability based on his “not one of his people” status or his “bump in the road” status ???

I’m sorry my blog doesn’t support “like” statuses for comments.  If it did, I would click “like” for every one of the comments y’all have left here.

Spartacus: I remembered that shooting and the kid who stopped it, but not his name.  Thanks a lot.  For others who need reminding, here’s the NYT story: http://www.nytimes.com/1998/05/23/us/shootings-in-a-schoolhouse-the-hero-wounded-teen-ager-is-called-a-hero.html

The police acted stupidly. Obama, like most other mad dogs of a tyrant regime, looks out for their own. Much as the human owns and cares for their dog.
