Illegal immigrant and pedophile kills: uses single rifle blast to kill woman protecting her daughter from him

(First published at Mr. Conservative, but I wrote it, and it’s vintage Bookworm Room)

Maria Saucedo, who was only 31, died the other day in Arizona when Jose Zarate shot her in the chest with a rifle after she refused to let him date her daughter. This sounds like a very ordinary tragedy, but it isn’t. Instead, it perfectly represents the way the Left has used bad ideas and corrupt language to allow terrible things to happen in this country.

Jose Zarate, who is 25-years-old, wanted to date Saucedo’s 13-year-old daughter. When Saucedo objected, Zarate pulled out a rifle and shot Saucedo in the chest, killing her. After his arrest, Deputy Joaquin Enriquez stated that “Sheriff’s deputies say Zarate is a non-U.S. citizen who has been living in the country without proper authorization.” In other words, Zarate is an illegal alien, a pedophile, and a murderer.

Gun grabbers have been noticeably silent about this horrible crime – perhaps because speaking up about it would force them to acknowledge that none of their proposed new laws would have stopped this man. He couldn’t have passed a background check, yet he had a gun; and he needed only one shot to kill Saucedo, so gun magazine sizes would have been irrelevant to his crime.

The only thing that might have stopped Zarate was to keep him out of this country in the first place. That, however, is not something the American political class is willing to do. Democrats want all those potential voters, legal or not. Instead, Leftists are trying to use language to massage away the fact that it’s illegal to enter this country without permission.

Watch reporters contort themselves and distort the language to avoid saying anything negative about people who become criminals the minute they step into this country:

The Leftist AP, which is one of the primary news sources in America, just announced that in future reporting, it will no longer use the phrases “illegal alien” or “illegal immigrant.” Instead of judgmental nouns, it will opt for less judgmental verbs. AP Executive Editor Kathleen Carroll explained that AP will henceforth refer only to people who happen to be “living in or immigrating to a country illegally.” Deputy Enriquez (quoted above) clearly knew the AP rules when he spoke to the press.

George Orwell, who knew Leftist thinking from the inside out, and viewed it with both fear and disgust, famously said that “political speech and writing,” by which he meant Leftist influenced political speech and writing, “are largely the defense of the indefensible.” He warned, too, that “if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.” In the story of Jose Zarate, we are seeing both corruption of language and thought, as a flurry of deadening words are used to hide the fact that a man whose very existence here was criminal, attempted pedophilia and, when blocked, committed cold-blooded murder.

This is why I prefer the term unlawful immigrant.
Perhaps better would be unlawful emigrant.

Just read in a story about Margaret Thatcher that claimed that the British Left in an effort to change the electoral demographic after her tenure,  threw the doors wide open  to immigrants.  Now they reap what they sowed.
Whatever the UK may now be, it is no longer English.
We could learn, but will not.

I’m glad you posted it here because I’m never going to again.
I removed his site from my bookmarks.

No worries, John.  When I write something that’s particularly “me,” if you know what I mean, it comes here, where my friends are.

You see, this is the problem with conservatives.  They whine incessantly about how private business is run sooooo much better than the government, and everything that private business does is sooooo efficient and competent and wonderful and blah-blah-blah-blah-blah.  And then our magnificent president goes and emulates private business, and they whine even louder about that!

Think about it.  When a private business has job opening, they advertise it.  They get about 5,000 resumes over the next couple of days, which any HR professional can tell you is waaay too many people to interview.  So what do they do?  They filter.  “Which of these candidates have relevant work experience?  Which have relevant education?  Which ones actually wrote a cover letter indicating that they actually read the job description?  Which ones have salary requirements which are not unacceptably high or suspiciously low?”  Again, they filter.  And I will concede to the conservatives that this system does actually work fairly well.

But then our magnificent and benevolent President Obama notices that we have… job openings!  It’s called immigration, but the principle is the same.  Worldwide, there are probably a couple billion people who would happily trade in whatever armpit of the Earth they’re living in for the United States, i.e. about seven times the number already here, i.e. waaay too many people to interview.  And under the old system, we just processed a lot of application paperwork, which was very boring, and inefficient (and isn’t that something conservatives like to complain about?)  So President Obama wisely applies a de facto filter.  “Who among these folks happens to live in an adjacent country?  Who has a demonstrated disregard for the law?  Who likely has connections with networks of criminals who provide forged documents?  And by the way, can we get a group of applicants who mostly all speak the same language, so they won’t have to learn English?”  See?  Filtering.  By no other method could you come up with such a refined group of resourceful and monolinguistic scofflaws.

Now, there are those who say that resourceful scofflaws are not what we want among our New Americans; that we should take in more global diversity; that we should make room for the law-abiding and the patient and the persecuted.  This is a debate for another day.  What is important is that we have a filter!  And given that, it would be nice if conservatives would stop whining.

BW. I think the marriage laws in California allow someone over eighteen to marry someone at any age if there is parental consent.  While living in SoCal, it was a common sight to see Mexican women in their teens accompanied by three, four, five youngsters, pushing a baby carriage and frequently pregnant with the husband in his thirties.  Apparently, this a cultural characteristic south of the border.  I remember from my H.S. days in late 60s/early 70s, my English teacher was dismissed b/c he divorced his wife and left his kids to marry a sophomore coed with her parent’s permission.  I guess they were really progressive!  I only remember the coed was very mature beyond her years. She looked like she was in her 20s especially in that sheer white ‘granny’ dress as she walked toward the front lawn with the sun beyond her. Our school ‘relaxed’ their dress codes in 1970.  Illegals are another reason for exercising the 2nd Amendment which is why the Dems want to disarm us and protect their future voters.

The Left doesn’t want workers, they want slaves. That’s all these second class + zero class “immigrant workers” will be. Unless people think those living in the Democrat urban fiefdoms are somehow getting it good, better than those protected by the US Constitution.
Killing the attacker before he can figure out how to kill you, is a way to seize victory from the enemy.

The Left also does not intend to grab guns from their slave sepoys because those will be the shock troops they will launch at you, when you attempt to resist the Leftist utopia.
