Found it on Facebook: Mean-spirited or something much worse?

Maybe this is just a mean-spirited mash-up of a guy who really does look like The Simpsons‘ Monty Burns and who happens to be very rich.  Nevertheless, the  mere act of caricaturing rich Jews carries with it the stench of antisemitism.  Moreover, to the extent this mash-up doesn’t stop with a picture comparison but, instead, presents the Rothschilds as the secret puppet-masters people behind all wars and all money . . . well, I have to say that there’s a strong whiff of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion behind this one.

What’s your opinion?

Rothschild and the new antisemitism

If it were less unintelligent, it would be outright vicious.
But to say the Rothschild family is worth SEVEN times world GDP, is to reveal the anti-Semites as innumerate troglodytes.
No wonder the left never grasps the notions of deficit, or national debt.  No wonder Obama conflates millionaires and billionaires.  Never learned decimal notation.

Book, I’m curious about where you found this in Facebook. Doesn’t FB scrupulously patrol for uploads that might give offense? Or is it only Massa’s house blacks, feminists, and Muslims who can be offended?

Book, I am guessing it was put up recently, along with Kerry’s “apartheid” resnarks and the never-ending season of Jew-hatred. So, YES – it’s everything that made you question the intent.
The U.S. State Department is listed as a “cultural partner” of the 24th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which features a number of anti-Semitic publications.
listing of English and Arabic titles on display at the Fair, which is currently underway, include Holocaust Denial, The International Jew and Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf. Also exhibited is The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, the second most published book in the Arab world, which promotes the anti-Semitic notion that Jews are planning global domination.

Ugly.  Vicious.  Beyond “mean-spirited.”  And yes, definitely in the same category of the more “classic” anti-Semitism.  (I’ve been using miso-Judaism a lot lately, as it doesn’t let the Jew-haters to start on “Semites refer to more people than Jews” riff.  Historic meaning has no traction with these people, especially as they’re doing *exactly* the same things.  They don’t like that mirror at all, and so refuse to look at it.)
I don’t think you’re over-reacting here though.  Extremely nasty stuff.

I know nothing about this guy.  Is he a practioner of the Jewish faith?   I believe Soros is no longer practicing.   Is this antisemitism or just class warfare? I suppose its a twofer depending upon the inferences drawn by the reciever. Either way, insidious.
