The Bookworm Beat (10/15/14) — The Illustrated Edition, and Open Thread

I was thinking of calling this post the “doggy breath” edition, but realized that it would make for a more than usually meaningless caption. But honestly, it is the doggy breath edition. I have a great round-up post I’d like to write, but I can’t this morning because I have to take my old girl to the vet. Her breath, never great, has become toxic. She needs a check-up.
