The Bookworm Beat (11/1/14) — The illustrated edition (and Open Thread)

Another Saturday, another day spent taking care of the family.  This one was different only insofar as I spent quite a while helping Little Bookworm finalize the Common Application essay.  It was a lot of work, but I think she’s done a good job of presenting herself and her values to whichever universities want to take a look at her.

I have to admit, though, that after struggling so long with mandatory writing, today I don’t feel very inclined to do any voluntary writing.  For now, an illustrated edition (thanks to Caped Crusader and Sadie) will have to suffice.  Looking over these images, I think they’re a pretty darn good substitute for anything I could write:
