The Bookworm Beat 1/1/15 — Mega giga illustrated edition and Open Thread

This is my first illustrated edition for the new year and, I’m happy to say, it’s a good one.  Thanks to Caped Crusader and to my Facebook friends for these great posters:

[Update: Two commenters have noted that the figures in the first poster I included — a poster purporting to identify upcoming new taxes due to Obamacare — are wrong. Since there’s going to be enough 2015 pain coming from Obamacare, I certainly don’t want to pollute the real problems by promulgating fake ones. I’ve therefore deleted the poster.]
