A Marin County fundraiser for Troops Direct

Last month, I shared here information about a charity called TroopsDirect.org.  It’s a very military-friendly charity.  Using funds from individual donations and some large donors, it takes special requests directly from the troops and gets them what they need, where and when they need it.

Next month, the Marin Republican Women’s Federated is hosting its annual fundraiser, and TroopsDirect.org will be the beneficiary of this fundraiser.  If you’re in the Marin County area and would like to be a part of this event, the official invitation is below the fold.

I have no idea if this is an extra incentive for you or not, but I plan on being at the fundraiser for at least part of the three-hour event.  If you’re attending let me know and, if we haven’t met before, I can arrange for us to meet then.

For those of you who have never been to The Spinnaker, it’s a nice place.  It’s situated directly on the water in Sausalito, often has Pelicans resting on its roof, offers free and friendly valet parking (although I always tip), and the food ranges from decent to very good.
