<p>The Dems, aided by old whats her name &#8212; um, Gwyneth Paltry &#8212; have put together <a href="http://hotair.com/archives/2008/08/04/video-celebrity-gets-out-the-vote-for-celebrity/" target="_blank">an endless, repetitious ad</a> urging registered voters living oversees to make sure that they vote for Obama.  I have no problem with that.  If you have constituents living abroad, you should try to reach them.  But why, why, why, so boringly?  It was like a Barney show, with a simple point repeated over and <em>over</em> and <strong><em>over</em></strong> to drive it into a distracted little brain.  (Okay, don&#8217;t answer that why, why, why question.  I guess that the Dems recognize that in today&#8217;s short attention span world, we&#8217;re all four year olds now.)</p>
<p>Speaking of which, dear troops, if you haven&#8217;t already arranged for an absentee ballot, <em>you are running out of time</em>.  <a href="http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/07/military_voting_072108w/" target="_blank">Act now</a>.  As you may recall, in 2004, the huge time lag between mailing something in Iraq and Afghanistan, and getting it to America, meant that <a href="http://timesfreepress.com/news/2008/jul/25/troops-disenfranchised-voting-system-advocates-say/" target="_blank">many troop votes entered up in the circular file</a>.  Considering that you&#8217;re the ones on the front lines defending our Constitution, it would be a crying shame if your votes did not get counted.</p>
