It is becoming increasingly clear that Barack Obama is not simply a citizen who is devoting his life to the service of his country.  Instead, he is a time bomb, planted by the Far Left.  Our job as conservatives is to make the average voter care about that fact.  I believe that, nowadays, too many people think  “Left.  Right.  What’s the difference?”  With the successful blurring of the lines during and since the Cold War, people no longer understand that there is a huge difference between Left and Right:  the difference between a country focused on individuals, and a country focused on the needs of the state.

In the Right, or conservative state, the state provides a structure within which people are free to function as they will, to succeed or to fail, to be happy or to be sad, to exercise their right to pursue happiness — as they define happiness.  In the Left, or statist state, the state’s only concern is itself.  The life forms unfortunate enough to exist within that state serve only to enable the state to achieve the ends that its self-selected leaders determine is best for the state.  Humans are cogs.  They have no free will, because any free will breaks the state’s hegemony.

First man:  Come the Revolution, everyone will drive a Rolls Royce.

Second man:  But what if I don’t want to drive a Rolls Royce?

First man:  Come the Revolution, you’ll have to!
