The very Junior Senator from Illinois, the one who lies, cheats and, as we now see, steals, thinks well of himself, very, very well.  His most recent act of self-aggrandizement (did I mention that he’s a narcissist?) is to appropriate the Presidential Seal for his own.  As you can see if you go here, Obama has used socialist iconography on the imagine (it’s those slightly cut, cartoony edges), but he’s retained the eagle, complete with shield, olive branches and arrows.  Oh, wait, did I say he retained the shield?  He didn’t really.  It’s his swooshing logo in lieu of the shield.  Then, where the Presidential seal says:  “Seal of the President of the United States,” our egomaniac in chief substituted “Obama for America,” followed by his web address.

Lastly, and really most offensively, where the President’s seal says “E Pluribus Unum” (“out of many, one”), which is both a reminder of America’s amazing and brave journey from British satellite to the first truly Democratic country in the world and the fact that the president is merely a representative of the people, Obama has substituted “Vero possumus,” which is Bob the Builder’s catch phrase (“Yes, we can”).

In other words, Obama has taken the Seal of the President of the United States, which is really the Seal of the people of America as personified in their elected President, and turned it into a semi-socialist (because of the iconography), tawdry, homage to himself.  Truly, the man has no limits to his ego.

I take consolation from the ancient Biblical admonition that Pride goeth before a fall.  I just hope that the inevitable fall, when it comes, is his, not the nation’s.
