The extremists you always have with you

Shortly after the founding of the State of Israel, the Jewish state began Operation Magic Carpet in order to rescue Yemeni Jews who were being threatened with extinction from their Muslim neighbors.  All told, before anyone was aware of it, Israel brought in almost 50,000 Yemenite Jews.

Not all Yemenite Jews came to Israel, however.  Even today, a small population of about 500 Jews still lives in Yemen, as Jews have since the Roman era.  Typically for Jews in Muslim communities, however, even this small, impoverished group is the target of Muslim extremists.  While Muslims mostly leave the Jews alone (apparently finding 500 too small a group about which to worry), the extremists always feel it incumbent upon them to kill.  I see Operation Margic Carpet, Part II in the near future.
