Just because I like seeing others pile on Obama

Unhappy Obama

All of these pile-ons go to the same point, which is that Obama is an ineffectual, disinterested executive.  Oh, and the last pile-on points out that he’s an evil pathological liar.

Bret Stephens assembles a telling compendium of MSM quotations, all showing that Obama neither knows nor cares about the job he was hired to do.

Victor Davis Hanson writes a post that reminds me of the poem saying “I met a man who wasn’t there.”  Obama’s blowsy, accusatory, substance-free speeches keep emanating from the auto-speech machine, but there’s definitely no there there.  For those who don’t know it, here’s the poem, Antigonish, which Hughes Mearns wrote in 1899.  It seems eerily accurate for our “Being There” president:

Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn’t there.
He wasn’t there again today,
I wish, I wish he’d go away…

When I came home last night at three,
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall,
I couldn’t see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don’t you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don’t slam the door…

Last night I saw upon the stair,
A little man who wasn’t there,
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away…

Richard Cohen, a long-time Obama supporter, is troubled now that he’s realizing his idol has feet of clay.  I most sincerely dislike both Cohen and his world view, but I give him full credit for  his honesty here.  He could have kept these concerns to himself in an effort to extent the time in which people continue to pretend that Emperor Obama, rather than strutting around naked but for his incompetence, is wrapped in scarlet mantles of ineffable genius.

And finally, Jim Holt nails the breathtaking hypocrisy of the man, a hypocrisy that rises scarily close to true evil.
