WordPress’s Jetpack might have purged my subscription list

If you’re no longer receiving emails from Bookworm Room when there’s a new post up, I have a solution for you.

A few days ago, I had between 2,500 and 3,000 subscribers to my blog — that is, if you signed up, every time I published a post, it would get mailed to you. Today, I have 418 subscribers. I just lost approximately 2,100 to 2,500 subscribers.

It’s definitely possible that over 2,000 people simultaneously unsubscribed, but is it probable? I don’t think so. It could be a glitch at JetPack, which is a WordPress service. Alternatively, it’s possible that WordPress might have purged most of my list. This is not an accusation because I don’t possess enough facts to accuse anybody of anything. It’s certainly a suspicion, though.

I’ve added a new subscription service to my site. If you’re no longer receiving emails that once came your way telling you about a new post, try signing up for the new subscription service. The sign-up for is under the big yellow PayPal button in the right-hand sidebar.
