More pictures of Nature’s springtime extravagance

In spring, we get a reminder that we are fortunate to live in a world of great beauty.

I was back at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens yesterday. This time, the azaleas are in bloom. I would have liked to take more pictures showing how lush they were, but the gardens were so packed with people that my photos were dictated less by the scene I wanted to capture and more by finding those small moments when I could see the gardens rather than the hordes. Not that I’m hostile to the hordes. We all wanted to enjoy the beauty and everyone was happy. In addition to the pictures, there’s also a lovely short video of a bird drying its wings.
