The Bookworm Thinker for 11 Nov. 2021

Welcome, all, on this date of 11 Nov. , and a Happy Veteran’s Day to all. On this day:

1620 – The Mayflower Compact, the first governing document executed by colonists to the New World, was assigned aboard ship this day in  Provincetown Harbor.

1778 – Cherry Valley massacre: A force of Loyalists and Seneca Indian attacked a fort and the houses outside of the fort.  Unable to reduce the fort, the Indians went on a murderous rampage, slaughtering half the civilians they came upon, to the number of thirty, and taking the other half prisoner.  The Indians likewise killed half the soldiers they chanced upon outside the fort and made prisoners of the rest.  The massacre, coming on the heels of the Wyoming Valley Massacre, led George Washington to launch the punitive Sullivan Expedition against the four nations of the Iroquois Indians who were allied with Britain.

They have no power to nullify laws they don’t like, whether it be bail, property crimes, or the laws governing illegal aliens and immigration. A particularly damaging example of this is occurring in Wisconsin, where the fundamental right to keep and bear arms in self-defense is under attack by an outrageously abusive district attorney’s office. . . .
