Progressives’ Toxic & Paternalistic Racism

The racism progressives routinely condemn is absent on the right, but it is the bread and butter of the daily life of progressives.

Can you imagine anything dripping with more paternalistic racism than Jill Biden gathering together a group of woke LATINX types and telling them that they are as “unique” in the eyes of progressives as “breakfast tacos.”

What’s next for Jill?  Perhaps it’s telling blacks that they’re as unique as fried chicken, or that they’re the watermelon of progressive life?  At any rate, the “breakfast tacos” remark puts Jill Biden firmly on a level with her husband, some of whose greatest hits include the claim, made to a black audience, that Republicans “want to put y’all back in chains,” or that if you don’t vote Democrat then “you ain’t black,” or that “you can’t go into a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.”  One wonders what Apu Nahasapeemapetilon would have thought of that last (at least before the character was canceled by The Simpsons as culturally inappropriate)?

How can one even begin to satirize such malignant racism as the Bidens display?  Babylon Bee makes an attempt, running as its lead this morning that Polls Indicate More Breakfast Tacos Leaning Republican.

Unfortunately, the racism of the modern progressive left is its defining characteristic. And woe to any minority who wanders off the progressive left’s ideological plantation.  For instance, even as Jill Biden addressed the “breakfast taco” people, the progressive publication American Prospect was running an article equating Justice Clarence Thomas, the author of the Supreme Court’s originalist Bruen decision, with the southern racist and author of the Dred Scott decision, Chief Justice Roger Taney.  Here is their picture at the top of the article.

I am surprised that they didn’t go with a black lawn jockey to illustrate the article, just as progressives have done previously:

There is nothing more classically racist than a progressive race hustler.   That is as true today as it was in the heyday of the KKK in the time of perhaps our most malignantly racist president, the progressive democrat Woodrow Wilson.

And as Jerome Davison tells it in arguably the best political ad of the year:

Our nation has a problem.  It is not systemic racism coming from conservatives; it’s the racism at the heart of systemic progressivism.
