Bookworm Room

Sometimes life in the suburbs is good.  With the later sunset and the warm weather, we’ve opened our pool.  There are worse ways to spend an afternoon than sitting in the garden, surrounded by spring flowers, reading a book, while every few minutes doing a head count to make sure all kids in the pool are present and accounted for.  Me being me, I’d prefer to blog, but it’s a heck of a nice alternative.  The one real downside is that lifeguarding sucked away blogging time, so I won’t be back until tonight.  My apologies.  It’s a good thing for me that you guys are finding lots to write about manly men, and other influences on the American male.  It’s fun for me to sit back and watch all of you do the work here — and I appreciate all the interesting comments flowing in.
