I did something nice today

I didn’t blog much today (sorry), but I did take time out from an insanely busy schedule to do something nice:  I had lunch with Neo-neocon.  She was in town visiting, and we got together for some Chinese food and conversation.  Both were excellent.  Neo is precisely what you’d expect from her blog:  thoughtful, traditionally liberal in her outlook (a la Dennis Prager, who claims to be a John F. Kennedy era liberal), and articulate.  It was such a pleasure to have this break in an otherwise long and often frustrating day.

She was in town visiting, and we got together for some Chinese food and conversation.

There were about 3 or 4 occassions in which you and Neo posted about the same story (with the same links even) right after each other. I’d go read something over at Neo, and a day later or even the same day, I see the same thing here. Or I would read something here, and Neo would have it up sometime later at her site.

The two subjects that I can remember were chocolate and petite sizes….

Now you had a meeting with her. I jokingly refered to some female conspiracy during the chocolate episode, but perhaps there is more truth than fiction to the joke? Certainly fate seems to conspire much in these events, even if there are no human plans.

I mean, just think about the connections. You both came from sort of the same political background and experiences. You both wrote articles on the internet about your experiences. You both in fact shared those experiences via Neo linking to your American Thinker post about Crypto-Conservatives (which is how I first heard about your blog).

This seems to be a destiny thing, Book, you and her meeting.

Great minds think alike. Hope the food was good.

Oh, two of my favorite neo-conservative thinkers meeting deep, deep in enemy territory. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall (not in your soup) for your conversation. Was your conversation sotto voce or could you expound at will without fear of retribution? Just asking.

What an odd headline to announce you met with a colleague, although longtime readers of your blog will recognize that on most days you’re not terribly nice, so perhaps the headline places the emphasis where it belongs.

Now now Greg be nice( smarty aleck snarky Liberal who doesn’t take the world seriously . . I bet you don’t have a lot of money). After all she did say she was sorry about not blogging ! However, I thought when you were in love you never had to say you were sorry . . oh oh I see that law doesn’t apply, when you are in love with yourself. Apology accepted !
